YOUNG ADULTS

Young adulthood is a time of exploration as we look to identify the meaning of self, independent of our parental/caregiver influences. We come to recognize through socialization with peers and the broader society implicit expectations with regard to how we are to function within the world.

COUNSELING offers young people an opportunity to speak to someone holding more of an objective perspective: where thoughts, feelings and emotions can be shared in an environment conducive to support and understanding. While facilitating a safe, trusting and engaging environment, the work is purposefully aimed at identifying the difficulty and/or pressure(s) specific to the youth's experience, while also looking to manage/reduce exhibited symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, and other abusive, or disruptive behavior.
